2008 TONY GWYNN JR. AUTOGRAPHED GAME-USED NIKE CLEATS - PSA/DNA CERTIFIED W/LETTERS
Another nice collectible for your consideration. You are looking on one (1) 2008 Tony Gwynn Jr. Autographed Game-Used Nike Cleats- PSA/DNA Certified with Letters (for both shoes!). This auttographed pair of Nike Cleats was used by Major League star outfielder Tony Gwynn, Jr. during his 2008 season with the Milwaukee Brewers. This is a black and grey pair of NIKEiD cleats, size 10. On the shoe tag is the production date "05/04/08." There is a little Nike logo on each spike. Each show has been hand signed by Tony Gwynn, Jr. "Tony Gwynn Game Used 08" in silver Sharpie. The cleats (shoes) come with a letter of authenticity signed by Tony Gwynn, Jr., that states: "I, Tony Gwynn Jr. guarantee that I personally used the accompanied cleats durnig the 2008 Milwaikee Brewers baseball season. I personally signed these game worn cleats and added the 2008 game sued inscription to them on October 26, 2009 under the direct supervisiou of American Icon Autographs." EACH shoe also comes with it's photo Letter of Authenticity by PSA/DNA signed by noted game-used memorbilia expert Kevin Low. The letters note "This item has been examined by one or more PSA/DNA experts. On behalf of Collectors Universe, it is our considered opiinon that the signatures (2) is/are genuine. Your authenticated items has been permanently marked wtih an invisible DNA daub that will fluoresce under a patented lasor lamp." Finally, the cleats also come with a a PSA Certificate of Authenticity with Certification Number: J17116. A PSA/DNA sticker with a matching number has been applied to the back of each show and to the letter of authenticity signed by Tony Gwynn, Jr. The cleats are a $400 value! Professional baseball outfielder Anthony "Tony" Keith Gwynn, Jr. was born October 4, 1982, in Long Beach, California, and is the son of Baseball Hall of Fame member, Tony Gwynn. Gwynn attended San Diego State University and was selected by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 2nd round of the 2003 MLB Draft. Gwynn, Jr. made his Major League debut on July 15, 2006., and made his first ML hit, exactly 24 years to the day his father's first major league hit. Gwynn played with the Brewers from 2005 to 2009. In 2009, Gwynn was traded to his father's former team, the San Diego Padres. Gwynn wears the number 18 with the Padres, with his father's number 19 having been retired by the Padres team.
