2002-04 Coco Crisp Game-Used Lousivlle Slugger Bat - PSA/DNA Certified.
This bat was used by Major League star center fielder Coco Crisp some time during the 2002-2004 seasons. The bat is a black Louisville Slugger Model F123 (33.5 inch, 31.1 ounce). It shows heavy use with lots of ball/seam marks and in uncracked!
The bat has been certified as real by PSA/DNA and a PSA/DNA photo Letter of Authenticity is included. The letter notes: "The model number, length, and weight specifications have been confirmed by the manufacturer's ordering records as being ordered by the player during the referenced labeling period." "Coco Crip professional model bat is uncracked and show evidence of outstanding game use. The barrel is covered with several ball marks and ball stitch marks. Ball marks include blue ink transfers and white leather scuffs. Also visible on the bat are cleat marks and bat rack streaks. The handle has been taped in a spiral pattern approximately 10 inches to enhance the grip. Coco's number (10), the model number (F123), and the length of the bat (33.5/31) are written on the knob and the top of the barrel in silver sharpie." "Based on our examination of this Coco Crisp professional model bat and its player use characteristics, we believe the bat was game used by Crisp during the referenced labeling period." The reference labeled period, meaning the period in which Lousiville Slugger labled their bats like this is 2002 to 2004. The PSA/DNA letter is signed by noted bat expert John Taube. Also, the bat was purchased from John Taube's company J. T. Sports and included is a signed letter from Taube. I am only showing part of this letter below as it contains a personal name/address. Professional baseball center fielder Covelli Loyce "Coco" Crisp was born November 1, 1979, in Los Angeles, California. Crisp was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 7th round of the 1999 MLB Draft. Crisp made his Major League debut on August 15, 2002. Coco has played for the Cleveland Indians (2002-2005), the Boston Red Sox (2006-2008) and the Kansas City Royals (2009), and is currently with the Oakland Athletics (2010 to present).
Crisp became a starting center fielder with the Indians in mid-2002, replacing the injured Matt Lawton. For the next few seasons, Crisp established a reputation as an excellent fielder and speedy baserunner. In his final two seasons with the Indians, Crisp showcased his offensive talent by batting .297 and .300 with 31 total home runs and 35 steals. Coco Crisp has become known as a clutch player. On October 21, 2007 in Game 7 of the American League Championship Series, Crisp made the catch that sent Boston to their second World Series in four seasons. In 2008, during Game 5 of the ALCS, Crisp made a game tying hit in the bottom of the 8th inning to cap Boston's 7-run comeback. Boston would go on to win the game 8-7.
