On the back of the card is wrote "JOHN RUSSELL - PHILS." The signature has been certified by PSA/DNA and the card has been slabbed in a tamper-resistant case. Signature is PSA/DNA #81997107, the blank card has been labeled a "CUT" and it has been graded "AUTHENTIC." He made his MLB debut on June 22, 1964 and played for the Philadelphia Phillies (1984-1988), the Atlanta Braves (1989) and the Texas Rangers (1990-1993). While with the Rangers, Russell caught Nolan Ryan's 6th career no-hitter on June 11, 1990. After retiring as a player Russell served as a minor league manager for the Minnesota Twins (1999-2000, 2002) and the Pirates third-base coach (2003-2005).
