You are looking on one (1) 1976 State Flag Stamps First Day Cover Set with Album. This is a complete collection of all 50 1976 State Flag Fleetwood cachets inside a nice Fleetwood Album. The covers were all canceled "FEB 23 1976" in "WASHINGTON, DC" on the stamps' first day of issue. The album along with a couple of the covers are shown in the photographs provided below. The covers are all very nice. They are unaddressed and the flaps are loose. The Album is in great condition with no tears, rub marks, writing or the like.The 1976 13¢ 50-State Flags Stamps were first issued in ceremony on Monday, February 23, 1976 in Washington, D.C. and at each of the 50 state capitols. These fifty United States commemorative postage stamps were released by the US Postal Service to honor the Bicetennial Year of the founding of the United States. This was the first time the US Post Service had released a stamp set/sheet honoring all 50 stamps. The designs are based on the original state flags and they were arranged on sheets in order of admission to the Union. Designed by Walt Reed, the multi-colored stamps feature the name of the state alinged vertically to the right of the centered flag. Below the flag is the US Bicentenial logo and the lettering "BICETENNIAL ERA 1776-1976." In the upper left corner in two lines with the numerals red and letters black is "13¢ USA." The later refers to the stamp's thirteen-cent face value. Printed by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) in Washington, D.C. on the Andreotti gravure press (601). These stamps are known individually to philatelic collectors as US Scott Catalog #1633-1682, or in full sheet format as US Scott #1682a.
