Taylor attended the University of Florida where he played NCAA college football with the Gators where he became known as a play maker and was named MVP (Most Valuable Player) of the 1999 Orange Bowl and the 2000 Citrus Bowl. Taylor entered the 2000 NFL draft as an underclassman and was selected in the 1st round, 10th pick overall, by the Baltimore Ravens. In 2000, his first year, Taylor set a Ravens wide receiver rookie record for most touchdowns (three). Taylor played with the Baltimore Ravens (2000-2004), the Minnesota Vikings (2005 & 2006), the Oakland Raiders (2007), the St. Louis Rams (2007), the Carolina Panthers (2007) and the Detroit Lions (2008).
