You are looking on one (1) Kansas Cities/Towns Centennial Canceled Postal Card Lot. This lot includes four postal cards canceled in various Kansas towns with special cancels to honor each town's centennial. Lot includes a 1986 Turon, Kansas; a 1986 Hoyt, Kansas; a 1987 Bern, Kansas and a 1987 Preston, Kansas. All are unaddress and unmarked. I have more then one of the cancels shown below and these are file images. The cancel features a belt buckle like design with a train, traintracks, buffalo, a train station and a school (?). A ribbon around the design notes "TURON, KANSAS" on the top and "1886 CENTENNIAL 1986" on the bottom. To the right of the design and in replace of cancel bars is four lines of lettering "CENTENNIAL STATION" "OCTOBER 4, 1986" "TURON, KANSAS 67583." The card, a 1985 14¢ George Wythe Postal Card, measures ~5 1/2" by 3 1/2" (inches) or 138 mm by 88 mm and is known to collectors as Scott US Catalogue #UX108.The 1986 Hoyt, Kansas Centennial Canceled Postal Card was canceled September 6, 1986 in Hoyt, Kansas. The cancel features a map of Kansas with the city Hoyt marked with a dot and it's name and the date "1886-1986" centered in the lower portion of the map. To the left of the design is a large dial with "CENTENNIAL STA." "SEPT 6 1986" and "HOYT KS, 66440." The card, a 1985 14¢ George Wythe Postal Card, measures ~5 1/2" by 3 1/2" (inches) or 138 mm by 88 mm and is known to collectors as Scott US Catalogue #UX108.The 1987 Bern, Kansas Centennial Canceled Postal Card was canceled September 19, 1987 in Bern, Kansas. The cancel features a map of Kansas with the city Hoyt marked with a star. Two cross flags (US Flag/flag with cross) are centered in the map with the date "1887" on the right and "1987" on the left. Centered in two lines of type along the bottom of the state is "Centennial Station" "Bern, Kansas 66408' and under the date is the cancel date "September 19, 1987. The card, a 1985 14¢ George Wythe Postal Card, measures ~5 1/2" by 3 1/2" (inches) or 138 mm by 88 mm and is known to collectors as Scott US Catalogue #UX108.The 1987 Preston, Kansas Centennial Canceled Postal Card was canceled September 19, 1987 in Preston, Kansas. The cancel features a belt buckle like design with a train station in the center labeled "PRESTON" with train tracks on both sides and four groups of buildings representing the neighboring towns of Williamsport, Haynesville, Silverton and Carmi. A ribbon along the top notes "PRESTON, KANSAS" and "1887 CENTENNIAL 1987" on the bottom.
