You are looking on one (1) 2008 Donruss Classics "Timeless Tributes" #124 Y.A. Tittle Card, Numbered 49/50! The Y.A. Tittle card in this product is shown in the photograph below. This hard to find parallel card is individually numbered 49 out of 50 made (49/50). See the detailed photographs below for the condition of the card.Former professional football quarterback Yelberton Abraham "Y.A." Tittle was born October 24, 1926 in Marshall, Harrison County, Texas. "Y.A." Tittle attended Louisiana State University (LSU) and was selected by the Baltimore Colts in the first round, 6th pick overall, in the AAFC Amateur Draft. Tittle played three seasons with the Baltimore Colts of the All-America Football Conference (1947-1949) and one with the Colts in the National Football League (1950). The Colts became defunct after that season, and Tittle joined the San Francisco 49ers. He played there for ten seasons (1951-1960) before finishing his career with the New York Giants (1961-1964). Not including his totals in the AAFC, Tittle threw for 28,339 yards and 242 touchdowns, while also rushing for 999 yards and 33 touchdowns. Y.A. Tittle was the first quarterback in NFL history to have achieved consecutive 30-touchdown passing seasons. His 36 touchdown passes in the 1963 season would remain an NFL record until Marino threw 48 touchdown passes in 1984. Title was named the NFL’s Most Valuable Player in 1957 & 1962, was a seven-time Pro Bowl selection (1953, 1954, 1957, 1959, 1961-1963) and a three-time All-Pro selection (1957, 1962 & 1963). Title was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1971. He is also a member of the Bay Area Sports Hall of Fame, the LSU Athletics Hall of Fame and the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame (1972 induction).Be sure to add me to your favorites list!FREE US shipping.
