Former professional football wide receiver Harry Williams was born August 10, 1982 in Augusta, Georgia. Williams attended Tuskegee University and was selected by the New York Jets in the 7th round of the 2005 NFL Amateur Draft. Williams played for the Jets in 2005. He spent the 2006 off-season with the Green Bay Packers, New York Giants and the Chicago Bears before ending up with the Houston Texans where he played the 2006 and 2007 seasons. On August 22, 2008, Williams suffered a seriousneck injury in a preseason game against the Dallas Cowboys. He was taken off the field on a stretcher immobilized. Afterward, he recovered from paralysis, with team doctors reporting his condition was "almost normal."
