Professional football player Warrick De'Mon Dunn was born Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Dunn attended Florida State University where he is the only Seminole to rush for over 1,000 yards in three consecutive years and was a three-time All-ACC selection. Dunn was selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the first round, 12th pick overall, in the 1997 NFL Amateur Draft. Dunn made an immediate impact rushing 224 times for 978 yards and collecting 39 receptions for 462 yards. For his rookie effort, Dun was named the Associated Press Offensive Rookie of the Year (ROY) and to his first Pro Bowl. He played with the Bucs’ from 1997 to 2001 before signing with the Atlanta Falcons in the 2002 off-season. With the Bucs, and splitting carries with T. J. Duckett, Dunn led the league with 5.4 yards per a carry in 2002, and led the team in yards with 1,106 in 2005. In March 2008, released by the Falcons per his request, Dunn returned to Buccaneers signing a two-year $6 million contract. Dunn’s honors include 1997 AP NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year (ROY); 3-time Pro Bowl selection (1997, 2002 & 2005); 2004 Walter Payton Man of the Year.
