See the scan below for condition.Professional football running back Ricky Williams was born as Errick Lynne Williams Jr. on May 21, 1977 in San Diego, California. Williams played college football at the University of Texas in Austin, and at the same time played baseball Batavia Muckdogs, an affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals. At Texas, Williams, known as the "Texas Tornado," broke of tied 20 NCAA records, including the NCAA career rushing record and made the cover of Sports Illustrated. Williams won the 1997 and 1998 Doak Walker Award, the 1998 Walter Camp Award, the 1998 Maxwell Award, and the 1998 Heisman Trophy, joining Earl Campbell as the second Texas Longhorn to win this honor. Williams was in the 1st round, fifth pick overall, of the 1999 NFL Draft by the New Orleans Saints by Head Coach Mike Ditka. In order to acquire Williams, Ditka traded all the Saints 1999 draft picks along with their 2000 1st round pick to move up the draft. His rookie season Williams rushed for 884 yards and two touchdowns. Only George Rogers in 1981 and Rueben Mayes in 1986 had run for more yardage in their rookie seasons with the Saints. Ditka was later fired for the team's poor performance, and Williams was traded after 3 seasons to the Miami Dolphins on March 8, 2002 for two first-round picks. In his first season with the Dolphins, he was the NFL's leading rusher and a Pro Bowler with 1,853 yards. After two superb seasons in a Dolphins uniform, the enigmatic power back appeared ready to assume his place among the NFL elite in 2004. However, after testing positive for marijuana he called it quits a week before training camp, leaving Miami with a huge hole in the backfield and everyone scratching their heads. Williams officially returned to the Dolphins July 24, 2005 and completed his four-game suspension for substance abuse. But on April 25, 2006, Williams was suspended for the entire 2006 season for testing positive for a drug other than marijuana. It has been suggested that the substance may have been an herb related to his interest in holistic medicine. With Williams suspended for the entire 2006 NFL season, he signed with Canada Football League’s Toronto Argonauts for the 2006 season. On November 26, 2007, the Miami Dolphins activated Williams to their active roster. He played in Miami's Week 12 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday Night Football.
