See the scan below for condition.Former professional football running back Priest Holmes was born September 21, 1973 in Winnsboro, Fairfield County, South Carolina. Holmes attended The University of Texas where he played NCAA college football with the Texas Longhorns, where he played with Heisman Trophy winning running back Ricky Williams. The Baltimore Ravens signed Holmes in 1997 as an undrafted free agent. Holmes played with the Baltimore Ravens from 1997 to 2000, before signing with the Kansas City Chiefs where he played from 2001 to 2007. In 1998, Holmes rushed for 1008 yards. In 2000, Holmes behind starter rookie Jamal Lewis helped the Ravens win Super Bowl XXXV. In his first season with the Kansas City Chiefs, Holmes was the 2001 NFL season leading rushing with 1,555 yards. Despite missing two games in the 2002 NFL season because of a hip injury, Holmes rushed for 1,615 yards with 21 touchdowns. In the 2003 season, he broke Marshall Faulk's NFL record for total touchdowns in a season with 27 (which was subsequently broken by Shaun Alexander with 28 total touchdowns in 2005). On a pace to repeat his 2003 season in 2004, Holmes suffered an injury that ended his season with 14 touchdowns. In 2005, Holmes season was ended early from a tackle by Shawne Merriman and Larry Johnson took over the Chiefs starting running back position. Holmes attempted a comeback in 2007 appearing in 4 games and making 46 rushes for 137 yards before officially retiring in November 21, 2007. Holmes owns 10 different Kansas City Chiefs career records, including marks for rushing yards (5,933), total TDs (83), rushing TDs (76) and 100-yard rushing games (24).
