2003 MIKE DITKA SIGNED DRAWLING POSTCARDAnother nice collectible for your consideration. You are looking on one (1) 2003 Mike Ditka Signed Drawling Postcard. This postcard is a print of a drawling made by artist Mark Bostick that was hand signed by Mike Ditka. This means the Ditka signature is printed. The postcard has been hand signed, on the back by the ARTIST of the drawling. It is limited to only 1000 postcards and measures 5 1/2 inches tall and a little over 4 inches wide. Card is in near mint condition. Front of Card Back of Card Former professional football player and coach Mike Ditka was born October 18, 1939 in Carnegie, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. Ditka attended the University of Pittsburgh where he played NCAA college football and was named an All-America. He was selected in the 1st round, fifth pick overall, in the 1961 NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears. Ditka's impact was immediate as he caught 56 passes and earned NFL Rookie of the Year honors. He played six seasons with the Bears, earning Pro Bowl honors each year, before being traded to the Philadelphia Eagles in 1967. After spending two years with the Eagles, he was traded to Dallas, where played 4 more years. He caught a touchdown pass in the Cowboys' 24-3 victory over the Miami Dolphins in Super Bowl VI. During his 11 years coaching the Bears, Ditka's teams dominated the NFC Central with 52 regular season victories from 1985-1988. He coached the Bears to six NFC Central titles, three appearances in the NFC title game, and a Super Bowl victory. In 1985, Ditka's team posted an 18-1 record. After Super Bowl XX, Ditka was named Coach of the Year. In 1997, Mike Ditka became the 12th head coach of the New Orleans Saints. Dikta was enshrined into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1986 and into the Pro Football Hall of Fame as its first tight end in 1988. Be sure to add me to your favorites list! FREE US shipping.
