This baseball has been hand signed by Mets starting pitcher John Maine in blue ball point pen,who also added his "33" jersey number. The baseball was used in the August 21, 2007 San Diego Padres vs New York Mets game played at Shea Stadium. This game was won by the New York Mets 7-6. Maine was the starting pitcher in the game. Although it does not appear he pitched long enough to get credited with the win, he did appear at the plate twice, making a hit and scoring an RBI. This was the 4th win in a row for the then 1st place Mets. The ball shows good use. It has attached to it holograms, one from the MLB and one from Steiner. The baseball also comes with a letter from Steiner.
